    What was confusing me the description says fits existing carbine extension tubes.

    I tried searching this subject but not much has been posted. Must not be a lot of love for A1 stocks ??

    I believe you're reading this bit:

    It's the collapsible stock that fits the car tube. Very poorly written description though. Brownells fail.

    Yep, you need a rifle tube, rifle buffer, and rifle buffer spring.
