Ive got a Pentium 4 Processor, 2.4 Ghz, 478 pins, as a replacement. Looking at the heat sink that came with the processor, theres a silver patch that looks like some kind of thermal conductor. Reading the installation instructions on Intels website, it seems that I shouldnt use thermal grease on the heat sink. Should I go ahead and put some grease on the heat sink or should I skip this step? http://support.intel.com/support/processors/pentium4/sb/CS-007989.htm#Retention Wanna kill these ads? We can help!
