I have the Colt LE6920 with the Rogers adjustable stock. I am wanting to install a Buttstock from here: http://www.uscoreplicas.net/ Just click on "Early M16 Handguards, buttstocks, etc." over on the left and it will take you directly to the page with the stocks on them. The ones I am intereted are the two at the very top. This place is somewhat local to me. This is my first AR style firearm and am more familiar with AK's. Haven't even fired my 6920 yet, but have disassembled and reassembled as much of it as possible a couple times just to clean & lube it. Much different than the AK's. My question would be: What do I need to order to install the M16A1 stock? Will it mate up with my rifle? I assume I will need a different buffer tube, but can I use my existing spring, buffer and nut, etc? I went to WM to buy some windshield wipers and left with the 6920. They had four to choose from. I got the one that had the best finish and least play between the upper & lower. I checked a bunch of them out and the slight amount of play does seem normal. The only other comment I can make is the handguard does rotate slightly along with the delta ring around the barrel. The delta ring is tight but I think the cause of the play is the hole around the gas tube. The rifle is staked properly. Thanks, Jon Wanna kill these ads? We can help!
