Those new Indy cars are cool!! I love the look.
Marco Andretti is dialed and killing it.
Can't watch [Live] due to living close enough for it to matter, but will watch when the race is available to central Indiana. Currently 'cheating' the system on DirecTv by having it on the Sports Mix channel (ch. 205, for me) and listening to audio. Screen available is less than notecard-sized.
I miss the Brickyard!
Ex-wife's cousin was a Exec at Valvoline from 84-94. I always
had free pit passes the entire month of May. Great time!
Losing that was a small price to pay when I divorced that devil woman!
Back to the race,.............Helio FTW!
Lots of delicious Budweiser being chugged today!
Bud Light if they're lucky. Everyone has to drink lots of water!!
↑ Mislabeled Bud can
Isn't "Budweiser" and "water" sort of synonymous, anyways?
Rice water, to be exact.
Well, the rice is used as part of the brewing process (something about the protein from regular malted barley being too high; not totally flavor-related reasons) and the style "American Adjunct Lager" certainly could be described as devoid of lots of flavor. But it serves a purpose, even if uninspiring. I prefer Stroh's if imbibing in that regard.
.......and for the haters (as usual on GT) Budwiser is the #1 selling brand of beer anyways
Indeed, I enjoyed the hell out of it. Coca Cola 600 up next.
Walmart is probably the #1 retailer, what does that prove?
It proves some sort of snob will never miss the opportunity to crap on a GT thread.
What, no Princess Sparkle Pony?
Best Indy 500 I've seen in awhile. Much more entertaining and a whole lot less mind numbing that 5 hours of stock cars.
Didnt miss that stupid gopher either.
Great race in years,........he'll yes!
Buttwiper beer sux!
& you don't win three times by accident ! ......
This, I would have liked to see Marco win it though. Talk about mind numbing, now the Coke 600 is coming on, literally 5 hours of going in circles. I predict lots of empty seats. I have never seen so many unsold seats ( whole sections in the stands are not even opened anymore) as I have the last 3 years. Even the 500 today had plenty of seats available.
I got the Daytona 500 every year as I have my hunting lease just 15 miles from the track, glad I skipped it this year. The race is not near as packed as it was mybe 5 years ago even.
Just got home from Indy Motor Speedway...awesome race. The crowd was really into it, in spite of it being the hottest 500 on record. 97 was the temp I saw on my car's thermometer (parked in the shade) when we left.
Two Marines guarding the remains of Dan Wheldon's car at the pit wall adjacent to the yard of bricks.
All three under yellow.
