Indos buying Russians gear

    They do have a history of buying Russian gear, starting from Sukarno's time. Also, they have a lot of ex-East German hardware, which is basically Russian.

    Once, they got a Sverdlov-class light cruiser from Russia, and named it Irian, but it proved to be a white elephant so they returned it.

    Also, walang sabit when buying Russian gear, and Chinese for that matter, unlike the US.:thumbsup:

    Mahilig din ng magagandang equipment ang Indos. They have purchased the pricey FN C (5.56mm) assault rifle from Belgium. They also use AK 47s . So varied ang mga gamit nila.

    They make the FNC under license, but also use the M16 and AK. The Ruger Mini-14s (or is it AC556?) are for the police; I remember one policeman beating a demonstrator with his.:supergrin:
