Nice....I'm jealous! Every freaking time I get some extra cheese stashed away for a G29, my wife comes up with a "need" for something. Last week it was a new pool vacuum....arghhhh :(

Should have my Crossbreed Supertuck in a week or two, as well. Gonna have to pocket-carry until then. :)

    Nick,
I would be interested to see how that Crossbreed holster does for you. I am needing a good holster for my 29SF as well, and I don't know where to start!

Actually, I just sold my Keltec PF9 for which I had a Crossbreed. LOVED the holster. Best IWB I've ever used. I knew as soon as I decided to get a G29 that's I'd also be buying a CB. Go for it.

    My 2nd choice is Smartcarry...

3rd choice would have to be a Comp-Tac CTAC.

There's a starting place for ya!

Congrats Nick. That should be awesome. You are starting to accumulate a nice 10mm collection.

    Happy shooting!

    ...off topic a bit...

For those that like the Crossbreed ST type of holster, Shielded Holsters makes a very similar (some might say knock-off) that I have had good results with. I use the Double Phalanx for my G20. Carries very comfortably, and the prices and shipping turnaround times are great.

Thanks guys ... yea, I wish I hadn't had to part with my Razorback a year or two back... but its okay. It was for a good cause. I've got the staples of the collection now. I guess Its time to look for the next tier. A 6-6.5" unfluted 610, a Contender and a 1006.

    Who's with me??! :tongueout:

Kind of, at least, with the 610, but it's going to be a 4" or 5". I've owned my last 6" + revolvers. Congrats on the 29SF. Have a blast!

Ordered mine from a LGS, have no idea where he found it. It took about 3-5 days to find one, but find one he did.

Picked up my G29SF today. I got a chance to shoot it this afternoon, what a sweet gun. I wish I understood why the felt recoil is so much less on the larger frame Glocks compared to shooting, say, some hot 9mm out of a G19.

I shot the G29SF side by side against my G20SF and predictably I shot the G20SF better, but not a great deal better. When I get done with my normal trigger upgrade and some new sights, I reckon I will shoot it right along side its bigger brother. Very nice.

    Good deal, WeeWilly...

I ran into a snag. Wife needs the car tomorrow so I may or may not get to pick mine up. Argh! Will update when I know more

As for your recoil impressions, remember: the G29 (and G20 for that matter) are simply BUILT for more power. Heavier and wider slides and frames really absorb recoil!

    :)
