I know, it's a very silly question, as if you own one 1911, then you're going to buy more. But, just for fun, let's say you could have only one 1911. No price max at all. I'd personally either have a Guncrafter or some kind of Wilson.:dunno: VERY tough choice.

Kinda what I'm up against now, won't be my only one, but will be my only one for some time. I haven't had one in a couple of years, and man have the prices gone up!!!! :wow:

I will be following this thread for information............I however, do not have an unlimited budget, lol.

No more CBOB's, VBOB's running more than Ed Browns, SA on major backorder, Kimbers $1300+, what the hell happened, lol.

Well, I only have one right now, a lowly ACII. If I could have a nice one though, I'd probably look hard at a black Valor or No Name, depending on my budget.

I'm happy with my Norinco G.I. copy, and it's my only 1911 right now. I can't think of anything I'd trade it in for as it's proven itself time and again. If I had no 1911 already and could get any new 1911 for free, I'd probably have Harrison or Heirloom work up a G.I. style 1911 with updated "modern" internals, nicer sights, proper vertical serrations, proper "wide" spur hammer, and built just a tad bit tighter than original specs and tolerances. Oh, and no roll marks.

i kind of have the antithesis of this dilemma now. I have some projects to fund and have considering selling off a 1911 safe queen. Problem is, I bought them all for a reason and don't want to off one.

I guess if I could have only one 1911, it would be a Jardine Valtro:

Thankfully I don't have to make this decision. Unfortunately, I still don't have a Valtro.

A CCO style gun in .45 with a .22 conversion. cheap ammo for practice and it could use full size or compact mags. It would have a concealable grip and service length barrel. I would prefer it in steel or a hard chrome frame for durability.

Its only a matter of time before Brian shamelessly posts his. That's the one that got me started on the whole Valtro kick.

Of what I own, probably the SA Professional or one of my STIs.

Other than that, probably an SVI.

Mine would have to be The Wilson Combat CQB full size with rail. Black over OD coloring. With no less than 25 47D mags in perfect working order and a plethora of good ammo.

Owning a half dozen 1911's, yet if I could only keep and carry 1 it would be my Kimber 10mm.

    Accurate

    Plenty of power

    Reliable

Right now it is reserved for serious social occasions.

I'd keep one of my Essex/Colt homebuilds.

    Honestly? Springfield Champion Operator.

I've gotten to play with some nice 1911s, but just based on how a gun shoots, and feels in the hand? For me, that SA was for the .45, what the BHP was for the 9mm.

    You ain't much better Brother!

Mine would have to be a 1911 that was blessed by the hands of Chuck Rogers.

I'm down to just one now, my NHC. And it fills all my 1911 needs.
