I do apologize for the short notice but I learned only today while building props for tomorrow’s match that several of Silver Creek Board Members plan make a motion on Monday, July 7th Board Meeting to close SCCC-IDPA and this motion will pass by a majority. Therefore I am immediately resigning as SCCC-IDPA match director and tomorrow’s match is canceled.
I don’t wish to engage in a discussion of Club business on GT. If you are a member of Silver Creek and learn more about why the IDPA matches were closed and I resigned, please attend the General Membership Meeting on Monday, July 14th at the Silver Creek Club House.
I want to thank you for all the hard work you put into this project. It would have been very nice to have an IDPA club near Louisville.
Dom is doing a super job not only for the IDPA club but also for Silver Creek.
Im not saying this because I was the secretary.
I guess Silver Creek has some other plans for this Saturday shooting slot that is going the be very beneficial for the club.
We had actually picked up an application to join Silver Creek. Good thing we hadn't sent it in yet.
Any more info? Are the other types of matches still going at SCCC?
Silver Creek is still having there regular IPSC and Icore Matches.
Please email the board and get them to reconsider having the IPDA matches. The email address is email@example.com.
I'm blogging this: http://domzilla9.blogspot.com/
I am shutting down the ftp and IIS site, as they would seem to no longer be needed.
Thanks Matt. I was going to message you.
I'm with Dom. I 'ma yankee, but I moved to a little town in Mississippi before coming here. The club there ran circles around SCCC and it had a cap of 90 members. Check out there website...
They were mostly a clays club but once a year the membership would put together a sniper shoot (complete with tower), several clays fundraisers (in addition to the weekly shoots, and a few USPSA and bullseye pistol shoots.
Dom, for what it's worth, the only reason I came around was because you had point. But hey, the boat bug has bit and I'm getting ready to sink a mortgage payment into a bottomless pit, so if you want to go for a ride let me know!
