Yes,you do need to ask one whom you suppose to be a Mason to join.If you don't know a Mason contact the Grand Lodge of you State of residence and they will put you in touch of the closest Lodge to your residence.tom.

What they said, also go to any activity open to non masons. In my lodge we have a dinner once a month and friends and family are invited. In the summer we have a BBQ. Ask what activities you could attend. It is a great way to meet members and learn about masonry and that lodge in a public setting.
