Got the 6" LWD .357 SIG conversion barrel for the G20 today... I see more calibers in the near future. I probably won't stop until there is a single shot .50 BMG upper for it...

Nope! But I'll substitute a coupla boxes of ammo pretty soon to cover that..... :whistling: It was a hard decision. I really wanted the 9x25, but I wanna shoot a little more, and maybe save some shekels... Promise, the 40 short 'n weak is next. The 'ol lady really likes .357 anyways.

I like the .357 Sig round, just VERY expensive even to reload. They're screamers out of the longer barrels, I'm pondering a .357 Sig barrel for my G35 in the future......:whistling:

But I've been eyeballing the 9X25 Dillon too.........:faint:

No kiddin'... My first purchase in many weeks... she left to get her nails done, and got pissed cuz I asked her to hit WM for some .357 ammo... :rofl:Guess I'll arrange a celebration when UPS comes by late next week! I should at least spend as much on ammo AND Scotch (each) as I did the barrel....

If you're ever out my way drop me a line and we'll hit the range, and then go drink some good Scotch!

I opted for the 9X25Dillon barrels the first was for my S&W 1006, this was a Bar-Sto Match Grade which I hand finish fitting to the frame and slide then the final chamber reaming. This is a 5" barrel and performance of the 9X25 suffers some.

I did pick up the standard length 9X25Dillon for my G-29 so I don't see it living up to the perfomance the cartridge is capable of.

I have been testing so with proper handloading I should be able to develope some good shooters for both!

Someday I'll get the 357Sig barrels just for the giggles!

Are there any recomendations for the .357 conversion, such as extractor or recoil spring? I doubt I will shoot many nuke rounds through it... I have 10mm for that. :dunno:I mean, am I forgetting anything?

*UPDATE*: Got the barrel, and I LOVE it!. .357 Sig is awesome.... perfectly reliable. a bit milder than I am used to, but plenty of whoop ass in that round!

.357Sig sounds cool, never had a gun chambered in that round.

For that one, I think I'd go for the stock G32 barrel in my stock G23 though.

I just fired my first 50 rounds through a .357 barrel on my G27. Seems to be similar in terms of accuracy to the standard .40 rounds, but sure makes a big bang. My neighbor thought I'd bought a new gun. Couldn't believe that the noise he was hearing over at that place was coming from my little 27...
