I was offered $3200 for my LMT Defender or Colt 6920

I thought it was crazy 3 nights ago when my friend who is also a FFL called me and told me had buyers cash in hand for my LMT (I have two LMTs) or Colt for at least $2500.

I didn't sell either. I didn't buy them for resell (I doubt I'll ever sell any firearms I've purchased).

Tonight he calls me and tells me he's got a guy who has a concealed carry pistol permit (meaning he'll have no problem with the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) and will pay me $3200 for either my Colt or LMT.

You should have sold either of your LMT's, bought three 100 packs of pmags from foster tactical gear, and sold them for a $15,000 total profit.

To be perfectly honest, I'd sell the Colt before the LMTs.

Don't get me wrong, because the Colt is fantastic. But I like my LMTs better. They seem better made (the staking on both my LMTs is better than the staking on my 6920, as just one example), and the LMT stocks are the most comfortable I've ever tried.

I only suggested selling the LMT because you had two. I decided to do a complete LMT build about a month or so ago. But then the latest run on guns has left everyone dry, so I guess i'm stuck waiting until things calm down to complete my build.

I'm not at all surprised someone offered that much for your guns. Saw a "custom" dpms with a strikefire red dot and UTG furniture going for >$2k last night IIRC with a lot of bids

My advice to buyers is don't buy at ridiculous prices like those above. Congress IS NOT going to pass any legislation. We're seeing fear and panic buying.

    This too shall pass....

    Sell it.

I've been tempted to sell a couple of mine. They are just frankenstein guns but people are stupid right now. Even if another AWB happens ARs were still widely and cheaply available after a few months.

I too think that this panic shall pass but if there is a fool willing to separate himself from 3.2K for an AR, then who am I to not oblige him? Of course, I wonder what some of these folks will do when they find out the others already have panicked and bought all of the 223/5.56 ammo...

+1. Then get something nice (non-gun) with the money. When the panic subsides get another for a much cheaper price.

Just think of what your FDE 6920 with the FDE anodized receiver would go for. $10,000?

My LORD.....I've got a MINT Colt Pre-Ban, from the original Ban, Lightweight Sporter. Wonder what that baby is worth right now? A few months ago I had thought about trying to trade it for a 6920 or selling it and getting a 6920.

I doubt I'd sell it right now, but I tell ya if someone started throwing around numbers like those listed above, I'd be really tempted.

I'd sell at that price. That would cover a new pair of Single Action Armies from the Custom Shop.
