Flint lock, black powder, muzzle loaders.

I tried eBay and Google and keep finding non fireing cannot be made to shoot guns. That's a no go.

I've found a few but stuffs either ungodly expensive or I have no idea if its a decent kinda gun. And since I need a pair I don't want to spend a fortune.

    Any ideas?

Real dueling pistols are going to be antiques or or modern customs. Both will be expensive. There are several modern flint pistols available. Start with Dixie Gunworks.

Look up the rules for dueling and the requirements for dueling pistols. At some periods in history the rules were very specific.

One rule was smooth bores only. The cheat was to rifle the back half of the barrel of one gun and leave the muzzle smooth. Known as false rifling.

The other was to have one bored to .62 Cal and the other bored to .64 or larger but load both with a .62 cal ball.

To save money, you might look for a pair with only one functional.:whistling:

I don't want real/original ones. Just something to have for the hell of it. I'll try and find those kits mentioned

Pedersoli has several versions but they are NOT cheap and might not be anything to get just for the hell of it.

Even the modern versions are expensive, as far as I know.

  10. Agree with bac,

Ant modern dueling pistols will be at least as expensive as a glock. For a cases pair I doubt you will find them for under $2,000.

    Alaska, again (for now)
I think if you were to have a "false rifled" pistol you'd probably be tricky enough to make sure you ended up with the rifled one.
