    NEWS RELEASE-URGENT-FROM THE TIGER SURVIVORS

Shorty has proposed that the PURPLE HEART MEDAL be awarded to all our
service men and women who were , are now and will become PRISONERS OF WAR,
and who die while a PRISONER OF WAR, regardless of cause of death,
effective December 7, 1941 to present and beyond.

This proposal is now HOUSE RESOLUTION (HR) 4425 and was introduced
into the United States House of Representatives on May 20, 2004 by Bob
FILNER, Congressman from San Diego California.

HR 4425 is called: “HONOR OUR FALLEN PRISONERS OF WAR ACT.”

I urge you all to make contact with your representatives in Washington
DC and tell them you support HR 4425. It is that simple but absolutely
necessary so this bill can move along.

I hope that all who have been Prisoners of War or are the Next of Kin
of a Prisoner of War will make those calls to Washington.

Please send this message on to your address book, and have it printed
in your bulletins or Veterans Magazines.

Love, Liberty, Security and Freedom to you all.
GOD BLESS THOSE WHO DID NOT MAKE IT BACK.

How come they don't give these POWs the Bronze Star instead? I think that would be a more appropriate award since you do not have to worry about the wounded criteria to receive it.

    Just wondering.

I thought they did receive the Brozne Star without the V.
