Fellas, the only way you will locate primers in today's marketplace (other than your LGS) is to be diligent in checking websites multiple times a day. When they become available, they go extremely fast. Thus, the need to constantly keep checking. When you do find them, order a large lot. They don't go bad, and can be sold to others locally to help offset the haz mat and shipping charges. Become an entrepreneur.

Most places are not taking BO on out of stock items right now. Keep checking PowderValley, Graf's, Natchez & Midsouth. All reputable, all used to take BO. Once this dies down, NEVER let yourself get caught w/ less than a year supply for every size you shoot.

Check your LGS on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Buy what is available for now( wolf, magnum, ect). When this all calms down buy a lot of primers. Try to learn from this. At the IDPA match this Saturday I had A guy try to buy primers from me. During the last shortage I sold members of my IDPA group 1K each so they could stay shooting. I told him
If you are new to reloading I feel for you. Otherwise OH well.

OTOH, there are people who stocked up selling 5000 SPP for $250 now. I have enough SPP, I'd be tempted to do that once or twice if there were local buyers.

I'm new to reloading (with my own stuff, anyway) and I have managed to get 1.5K SPM's, 500 SP's and 630 SRM's in the last few weeks, I overpaid a little, but not terrible; $40, or less, per 1K. Add this to the 900 SP I already had and I'm not in terrible shape.

I keep hitting up people on armslist, the local stores, and checking the regular websites. However, I'm finding I can get them cheaper from individuals than the stores with the haz-mat and shipping included. I'm on a tight budget trying to get this thing going.

Fortunately, a buddy and I made an order with PV about halfway through the crazy, back when they had about a third of the stuff "in stock". Now, there's not much left. I have 300 .224 bullets, 500 .38 bullets, and only 150 .40 bullets. I amassing brass and have enough to make all the .223's and .40's I have. I also have two pounds of rifle powder and one pound of pistol. If I could go back, I would have ordered differently.

Now, if the damn storms would stop so my RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Kit could arrive. It was supposed to arrive Friday...damn snow.

To the right desperate buyers, it looks like $250/5000 is certainly possible. I doubt you'd find one buyer willing to pay that much for all 30k though. Anyone who shoots that much should have had the sense to stock up.

Not really. Just basic supply and demand. When supply can't keep up with demand, people are willing to pay more to get what they want/need if the other option is doing without.

I'd say .22lr conversions will get much more popular, but have you tried buying .22lr recently? I haven't seen any at WalMart.

Don't think of them as small pistol. They're universal pistol. They can be used for anything from .25 auto to .45acp with the right brass.

Much more than that. I have seen people paying $60-$80/K buying on GB, stupid. If I knew I could get more primers next month, I would sell some of mine for that kind of scratch.

Still makes them small pistol. Just because some retard bean counter & ATK figured they could save 1/10 of a penny loading 45acp w/ SP doesn't make the universal. No SP 41, 44, 45colt. No SP 10mm, not really universal.:dunno:
