You have to look past the hood ornaments.

I'm seriously thinking about purchasing a 2008 M3 with the V8 once they become available stateside. I'm not really interested in the SMG transmission, though. Six-speed FTW!

I am curious to see how the V8 works out in that car. I know the 6 is not as torquey as an 8 and allows you to rev to 8K rpm. Hopefully the 8 will have smooth linear power throughout the powerband and hopefully the powerband is as broad.

I sold my Z06 to get this car, and although I miss the fun of fishtailing down the street feathering the gas tyring to get traction, the M is a much more refined car IMHO.

That is an awesome looking M3! I noticed that ever since I got a white car somewhat against my will (it was not my first choice, but white was the only color they had for the car I wanted), I have started to find white cars much more appealing. Espeically the bright white ones like both mine and yours.

Thanks. Usually, I get silver, but like you said, it is what they had available. Living in Vegas, white is practical. And with the black wheels, windows, grill and gills, it makes for a nice contrast.

I saw a t-shirt at the local Euro Bike-Mart the other day that said "I never knew BMW made cars until I passed one."

Got a '97 M3. The *ultimate* daily driver.

Almost 160K miles on it. . .runs like a top, purrs like a kitten.
