Maybe I'm out of line here, I dunno. I do seem to bring up issues better left alone, but here goes:

Why do people that don't like Glocks have a membership on this very fine "Glock" forum? It just really confounds me. I just don't understand why I see Glock-bashing going on around here.

And what really gets my goat is the folks that do Glock-bashing in thier signature line. So no matter how positive a statement that they make about something, they are still being negative about Glocks.

I see your point, but you get that on other sites as well. On the Glock site I have noticed it more so. Glock has a Love/Hate relationship more than any gun that dates back to the days of the myths/misunderstandings/unable to change and accept a new idea like its plastic and will melt in the sun, or there's no safety, its a gang banger gun or it will go through metal detectors so bad guys can do bad things. (insert Glock 7 references)

Dont' let the haters get to you, I have and received my share of "tickets" :whistling:

  3. I am getting better at ignoring the negative comments on this forum and two others. I find lots of useful information in some threads and get a chuckle out of some of the lighter subjects but I don't understand hanging around and bashing a product, if you don't like it good for you don't buy one and go away.

It reminds me of how people were resistant to change, I remember a friends grandfather telling us a story of when departments went away from the S&W model 10 revolver to semi autos and people were up in arms bi-ching because in many cases it was a fear of change. When something is new it can be challenging and scary for some especially if you don't understand it. Now you'd be hard pressed to find more departments that issues revolvers than semi autos. (Mainly Glocks )

A lot of Glock bashing also came from people who didnt/dont understand how the safety system works, "no thumb safety, no grip safety, no de-cocking lever, no safe to fire lever:faint:". Granted there are some that have tried Glocks and just flat out don't like it and thats fine. To each his own. I will say some of the fights/arguments/type offs are really entertaining.

Maybe you can help me out here. Does this statement have any particular meaning:

"Learning to shoot with a Glock is like learning to drive with a car with a smashed windshield and two flat tires."
    -Yo

It is from a member's sig line, and I just don't understand it.

I also remember an idiot saying you heat your food in plastic not use it as a gun, then I heard another guy say "you know they boil water in a metal container, use pots, pans, and I'll be dammed my frying pan is metal, so I shouldn't have that in a gun either" the idiot just stood there looking stupid like the pic below:rofl:

Hey, I can relate to this, my 21 has already exceeded what I make in a month. But, that's what makes the USA great. We don't mind spending our paychecks to further Capitalism in this great Nation.

I have wondered the same thing. I just don't get it, I guess I am a Kool-aid drinker ! But like Bone says, "If you spent more time focusing on your **** and less time hating on mine , You might make something of yourself."

Just read a post, from a recently closed thread(was getting ugly), where one member was berating another member for posting pictures of his guns on this forum. Am I just missing the point of being a member here, or what???
