Hi looking for recommendations, I have Wilson's Lo profile snag free sights on my Commander but to be honest these are useless and I hate them.

Looking for a new set of sights, what would you recommend for the best accuracy with the Commander?

You're going to get a LOT of differing opinions. Sights are like grips. Sort of subjective to the user. Personally, I like the 10-8 rear, tritium front sight picture. YMMV.

What makes them useless, and what would you prefer? For example, I didn't like the all black sight picture on my Ranger II and installed a tritium front sight. We need a little more info to make a recommendation for you, rather than just saying what we happen to like.

Snagging on clothes all the time, the paint on the white dots is gone after a couple of sessions at the range (500) rounds, the front sight is too narrow, so What would you recommend?
    Thank you.

Is that a GI/Mil-Spec cut there? If so, get the Harrison GI/Mil-spec rear sight. Do you even want dots on the rear sight or not?

As for the front, can't tell if it's dovetail or staked. If dovetail, then go Novak brass bead dot front sight.

Yes it's a GI/Mil-Spec cut in the rear, no needs for dots for me on my rear sights.

Front is dovetail, wil check Novaks thank you.

I would go 10-8/Harrison for the rear. Font just depends what you want...tritium, dot, FO, gold bead, etc.

Good, Blank rear is better for target acqusition. I don't know if Nowlin still makes a Novak low-mount style rear sight that fits a GI cut or not. But worth inquiring. If that's the style you want, or don't like the GI style rear sight.

There are a lot of options for dovetail front, so see what you like. Personally, I like tritium or brass bead.
