I done went and got into ANOTHER Glock. I got rid of the other 5 I've had over the last 22 years but this time I think I've got a real winner. Picked up a G30 from a local guy, looks like it's been shot a little bit but it's been taken care of too. Has a Glockmeister stainless guide rod, $140 dollar set of Trijicons, not sure what all else has been done. I'd like to detail strip it sometime and see if anythings been done to the trigger or not.
I think the reason I got rid of the other Glocks was because of the caliber and NOT the gun. I do like Glocks, just didn't care for 9x19mm or 40cal as much as I do the good ol' 45acp. Not that there's anything wrong with either of em' but that big 45acp bullet just cuts a hole that's easier for my old eyes to see when I'm shooting. Plus the 45acp brass is easier to find when you go to pick it up so you can reload it.
Got a Lone Wolf barrel coming so I can shoot my cast lead handloads without worry and I'll probably pick up a couple different holsters for it besides the ones I already have. None of the ones I have are actually for the G30 but they still fit well enough to work. Anyway, here's a pic of the first 10 rounds out of the gun. Thing really does shoot very well and it actually will fit into your pocket too,LOL.

I don't think you'll be disappointed. The G30 was my first 45ACP and I really like it. I got a G36 when they came out because of the slimmer grip and it's a bit more comfortable for me to carry. Both are really good guns.

Awesome choice! G30 is probably my favorite glock. Did you part with the PK380 or just buy the glock?

Yep, got a call from Collections that some medical bills were due so I ended up selling both the PK380 and the XD45, both of which were really great guns BUT when bills need to be paid you sometimes have to cut back to just one gun. The G30 will fit the bill for CCW(PK380's roll) and HD(XD45's roll) and I can still use all the 45acp ammo that I've got. I guess by all rights I was really looking for a G30 when I got into the XD45 it's just that there wasn't any available locally on the used market so I settled(although not really, the XD's are nice guns) for the XD45. All in all things end up working out like they're suppose to I guess.

    P.S.
I see one of the Resident Jerks had to go and post to my thread, guess you just can't keep some dogs off of your leg, they're just to stupid to know that you're not another dog,LOL.

I would have said Big Block Chevy but yep, I get your point. Even if you ever have to fall back to FMJ or home cast TC's you know you'll still get a bit of power transfered to the target.

Glad to see that you are still armed....regardless of how difficult your financial situation gets....

If you have to own only one gun....it's great that it is a Glock!

Dang, maybe you should have paid those before buying the PK and XD.

...just a thought, of course. :wavey:
