I don't hate my G19 so much these days

Well hate is a little strong, but it's up to this point not been my fave despite all its good points.

    I blame James Yeager.

But seriously, I never liked it as much as my G26 or 17s. Lately I've been carting it around a lot more and taking it out shooting. I never much liked where the hump sat in my hands compared to the others but I'm not really noticing anymore.

Maybe it's because cold weather is upon us that it seems more practical to me than usual and I can't really disagree when James says he likes it because it's small enough to carry but big enough to fight with.

I am definitely slating a Gen 4 G32 as my next Glock.

Hey, thanks for letting me share my feelings. :crying:

  2. G17 and G26 are good pair. G19 is the multi role and master of none. most Glock owners have more than one anyway...

I could be quite happy with only a G26 and a G34 for my Glock "needs."

I have a 19 and a 26. If I had to sell one of them, it would be the 26. I like the 26, but I love my 19.

I think I'll always be a G26/G17 combo kind of guy but darn if for some reason my oft neglected G19 isn't growing on me some after all these years.

Now with the Gen 4 it seems like the right size model to jump into .357 SIG with. Choices. It is good to have them.

Bruce: I never shot a G34. What do you like with them?

I divorced my Ruger SR9 for a Gen 4 Glock 19 last August. It's been a wonderful gunship since. I think we might have a kid. (a baby glock?) I can be my G4s baby glock babys' daddy.

I could live with on a G26, but if I had to choose just ONE, it'd have to be a G19

  9. for me its a G19/3 in the waistband... and a G26/3 in an ankle holster... never leave home without them..

    Trew2Life,

Your post cracked me up... "It's been a wonderful gunship since. I think we might have a kid. (a baby glock?) I can be my G4s baby glock babys' daddy." Nice one.

    HKLovingIT,

I bought my G19 when the Gen 3's first hit the streets, since then I now own the G17, G26 & G21. I shoot my G19 quite a bit because it was my CCW for a while but now use it for home protection in the night stand.

I thought about jumping into the 357 Sig but I'm just not really a big fan - maybe someday.

I got myself a 23 instead of a 22 because I figure it will be easier to conceal than the 22 and the 27 seems too small for my hands. I'll pick up the 27 some day and put it in an ankle holster if I shoot it well, and the 22 will go next to my bed.

Just use your 19 as an excuse to go to the range even more and shoot it even more, so you can become used to the grip, and have fun while doing it.

  14. Where I'm at, polygunmy is allowed. I already have 2 G19s and am always on the lookout for a good priced third (or even fourth) G19.
