How much will you be willing to pay for a constitutional freedom?

    My state legislature is wanting its citizens to pay and pay and pay..

    Why do citizens- LAW-ABIDING citizens- need to pay for their constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms?!?:steamed:

    If you are tempted to gloat because you are from another, freer state--- you better think that over... it will be coming to your homes.

    Texas CHL costs $140 for 5 yrs and $70 for the renewal, so I'm not sure we have much room to gloat. That said, it beats $400 and our state is "shall-issue" rather than "may-issue".
