Looking to get some night sights for my carry 1911. At present it has the old style thin blade front and v notch rear that came with it - it is a Sistema from Argentina. I want to use sights that won't require any more cutting than what it has - the standard rear cut and a tenon in front. What should I expect to pay to have the sights put on if I buy them myself and bring them with the gun?

once I get the new sights and an ambi safety on it, this gun should be just how I want it.

Cylinder and Slide lists $22.50 for staking on a front sight. I would think installing a rear sight that fit in the existing dovetail without the need to recut the dovetail or machine the slide should be about the same. Maybe in the range of $50 to $75 to install a set of sights with no machining. If any machining needs to be done, probably $200-$250. Some local gunsmiths may charge a little less. It takes some time and you need the right tools.
