    Behind an AR-15
and a Glock 30? Anyone know? I believe the G30 has a 3.78" barrel and the full size 1911, 5".

IIRC, each inch of barrel translates to about 50 fps. There is of course a point of diminishing returns. Handloader magazine did a story on barrel length and ACP velocity last year. Interesting story.

However you are also switching between standard and polygonal rifling, so I'm not sure this holds.

The 45acp gives up less vel / inch than other calibers, maybe 30fps on avg. The GLock doesn't add all that much either, maybe 25-30fps max. Only way to know for sure is run your ammo over a chrono. All guns are diff, 25-30fps is within the variation from like gun to like gun IME.
