That is a good deal, just don't use it on steel targets. It will punch a hole in them.

PMC ammo is good to go, I have shot over 1000 rounds of it(55gr) with no ammo related malfunctions. Its quite accurate too.

Good SHTF ammo is 5.55 62gr green tip, there are some good deals on that out there too.

PMC shoots fine, but it is dirtier than M855, so plan accordingly. If you shoot a bunch you'll be cleaning more than normal.

I've got 300-500ish of PMC around and for range trips and drills it's fine.

If you have the $ i'd get ASYM for stockpile purposes, or Federal or one of the other major makers. Then stock up on 100-200 good softpoint loads like Hornady.

This has been my experience, as well. I shot a lot of PMC out of my first AR until I discovered just how damn dirty it was. I switched to Federal and never looked back.

Dirty ammo doesn't hurt anything. Just cover the whole BCG in CLP and it will all just wipe off with a rag after your done shooting.

Didn't say it's a bad thing, but it's something to be aware of. For stockpiling, I'd get ASYM. PMC works fine for range drills.
