How do you post a youtube video?

Discussion in 'Announcements & Support' started by D.B.Cooper, May 17, 2013.

  1. I know how to post a youtube using a link, but I don't know how to post it where the video is on my post so people can just click play. I know it has to be simple to do I just can't figure it out.

  2. Someone correct me if I am wrong or if there is a better way.

When I do it I just highlight the web address and paste it inside the post.

Just move your cursor over the video's URL, right-click on it, and select 'copy'. The URL is copied to your clipboard. Then, when posting in Glocktalk, place your cursor within the text box, right-click on it, and select 'paste'. The last thing you put on your clipboard will be pasted into the text box. When you post your post, the URL will be automatically converted (to a YouTube window).

  4. Worked like a charm thanks to both of you.

There's one more way. Under Utuber video's you will see "Share." Left click on that and it will show you a link with a blue background. Right click on that link and you will get a drop down menu. In that menu, left click on "Copy" and then come back to your post here and where the cursor is in your post, left click, and from the drop down menu, click "paste." That will put the share link in your post. But when you click on "Post" that link will turn into the video.
