A Glock LE Dealer will have one or two, as will a dealer enrolled in the Stocking Glock Program. I'm sure there are a few here on G/T that can help you.

What did you need a Glock armorer to do?

    Inspect your gun.
    Ask him about parts.
    Fix something.

Glock used to have a CD Rom that had a list of all qualified armorers by state. I got it with the Glock Armorer's manual a while back.

Perhaps there should be a post made in the "Valuable Information" forum listing all Glock Armorers by city and state. That is for those that would like to help fellow Glockers, it shouldn't be mandatory.

every police force that issues glock has 3 or 4 (or more) certified armorers in their department. if you have a "friendly" police station nearby you might just inquire with them. if it's something simple (and there's not much that isn't isn't) they might just have one of their guys fix you up for good public relations reasons. i don't think they can do it for money, so don't even offer (it would be considered a "bribe" i think ... or "influence" at the least).

i'm sure some LEOs will chime in here and correct me if my thinking is off track.

    1. I look in the mirror.

I had to say it. You can do it that way too but you will have to schedule the training. Highly recommended.

    2. Go to a shoot. The factory armorer will be there. You don't have to shoot, just visit.

    3. Hang around the local range. Just a matter of time before some guy with a Glock will proudly tell you, "I'm a Glock Armorer. "

    Bingo!

What do you need done to the gun?

There is very little on a Glock that you can't do yourself with a few hours, a lot of searching on Glock Talk, and a few tools.

Honestly, I can't think of much that I can't do on the gun on my own. And I am far from a mechanical genius. I just have a lot of patience and curiousity.

This is one of many problems with the Glock website. It should have a listing of certified armorers state by state (if those individuals want to be listed).

Throw a rock down the halls of GlockTalk and you'll hit 15.

I think a state to state list of Glock Armorers is a great idea!! I have no need for one right now but I just moved to Illinois and want to get things figured out just in case. Thank you guys.

+1...I generally rely on highly qualified gunsmiths for work on my firearms...except when it comes to my Glocks.

The "The Complete Glock Reference Guide" by Ptooma Publications shows how to do anything that a Glock requires...in a very clear, well illustrated, step-by-step manner.

The LEA Armorers should not work on your Glock at work or while on duty for liability reasons.
