I have been shooting since I was 12, I'm not claiming to be an expert shot nor the next Grand Master in any shooting sport. I compete regularly in IDPA, USPSA, and Steel Challenge. Over the course of my shooting I have noticed that I shoot the .45 ACP most accurately. By this I mean in general, not the 1911 or Glock or XD, I mean no matter the platform I'm most accurate with the .45. I compete with a Glock 17 and am what I consider to be combat accurate with it yet if I shoot my buddies CZ97 or my other buddies 1911 or Glock 21 and XDM my groupings are tighter across the spectrum of guns. Ive noticed this when target shooting and when shooting competition. As a side note this is with factory 230gn ball, not with handloads. Has anyone else noticed they are inherently more accurate with one caliber than another?
