So I am trying to speed up the loading on my LNL AP, best option I have seen is a case feeder. I am looking at making a tube based one myself since

    1. I do not want to spend the 300+ on the one from Hornady since I do not do the volume to justify it.

    2. Without drilling through walls I cannot get power to where my press is.

I have done many searches on many sites but have not seen one that has any sort of plans with it on how to build it. Since I am just not that mechanically inclined. What suggestions do you all have.

    Thanks

    Rich

    Rich22,

I see the case feeder as two separate actions.

First action is the cases are orientated and deposited in a feed tube, driven by an electric motor.

Second action is the case is fed into the press from the tube by a mechanism driven by operating the press.

If you had the press mounted mechanism that feeds the case from the tube to the shell plate on the press you could use something like a Lee case collator to manually load the tubes and then switch tubes as needed.

    Just a thought,

Putting a Lee case feeder on a 650 is a lot simpler and easier.

Read my second post. All that is. Is a U shape bracket and the Lee case feeder.

If you can get all of the bottom parts for the feed system minus the case feeder bowl. It would be very easy to adapt the Lee case feeder to use on the LNL.

That was my first idea, the bottom pieces seem to be by far the hardest part, after that I wouldn't have a problem getting the tubes to work. Apparently Hornady refuse to sell the parts to the case feeder seperate from the collator.

Spend the time making the half as$ casefeeder loading ammo and don't worry about it.

That is a photo shop. I can tell because the bowl isn't tilted to the left.
