I know it's not unusual for new magazines to have stiff springs, but I got my G30sf used and it's damn near impossible to get the last round in the magazine! After murdering my fingers, trying to jam it in there, it's so tight that the slide takes a great deal of force to rack in order to chamber a round. Do you all with G30s have this problem with the standard 10 rd mags? I guess it's possible that the previous two owners (I'm the third) never stored the mags fully loaded. Hope it eases up a bit. Got the mags loaded up and am going to keep them like that for a while.

Are you using a loader or loading the magazines by hand????

By hand. The 30 didn't come with one. If the springs don't ease up after a few days of storage, I may try to acquire one.

I noticed the same thing with my G27, after the first 5 or 6 it gets extremely hard. Granted mine is almost new, I will definitely be leVing the mag loaded, and will be investing in a speedloader. Went to the range last night, and I have calloused fingers from the 100+ rounds I went through.

Get the MagLULA as mentioned above.

The G30's mags, both the 9 & 10 round are SUPER stiff! It's normal.

In my new G27 I have to seat the mag hard to get it to seat in the gun, and yes I have been loading one round short becasue of the stout mag spring. I was in a gun store this past Monday and heard the exact same thing that you said from a customer about his G30. In fact I had to check and see what State you were from, i thought you might be him.

My G31 is new and I am loading one round short in it also until the spring takes a set, but the mag goes into place in the gun easily.

I have the same problem with my G30 10rd mag. I have to use my uplula to load all 10 bullets. It's also hard to rack the slide with a full mag. So. I usually just load 9 in a mag.

Got my G30SF new a few weeks ago and had a hell of a time loading the clips. even with the loader. I couldn't get 10 in, was like they went in uneven or something. Had to unload and reload the clip 2 or 3 times before I could get all 10 in.

Just stop trying to jam 12 rounds in there. But seriously I couldn't do without the loader provided.

I have been sitting here unloading and reloading and it DOES seem like sometimes it's easier than other times. It's very inconsistent. Sometimes it's impossible, sometimes it's really not so bad.

I was able to get the tenth round in after a couple of days but its hard to seat the mag fully loaded with one in the chamber. I use 9 rds and it seats much easier.

Its really a 9+1 gun. The 10 rounds is a marketing strategy.
