I kind of went through this before and came up with nothing.

I have been thinking about getting a 9mm suppressor and running it on a Glock platform. One of the things I have wanted to do was have my threaded gun fit into a service holster.

I am thinking that my G26 would not fit into any service holster for a G26 if it had a threaded barrel. I am thinking that a G19 will not fit into a G19 if it had a threaded barrel. But I was wondering if a G26 with a threaded barrel will fit into a G19 holster? Same thing, but for the G19 into a G17?

    Thoughts?
    Recommend a holster?

Service holster? Most any holster is open at the end so it should not matter much. With the can attached, most likely not going to happen due to size.

Service holster maybe isn't the right word.

It is not a CCW holster.
It will be mole mounted on vest or on belt.

The ones I looked at the barrel couldn't stick out.

Is this for the range or what? My Serpa L3 duty holster is a common LE style holster that would let a 1-2inch barrel stick out the bottom with no problems. The Safariland RAPTOR would work too. But these are not CHL holsters.

My Serpa CQC holster would work fine, and would work for CHL with a coat, and my sidearmor IWB rig for my G27 would also.

What kinda holster are you using ?

    For holding a pistol.

I tromp out in the woods (canoe, hike....).
I want something to hold the pistol (if is fall out of the canoe, slide down a hill.....)

Currently I have a safepacker. It keeps my G21 safe, but lets just say it is not a quick draw item.

Maybe not exactly what you are looking for, but the Hogue Powerspeed is really fast, and with the lock on is completely secure.

 I can see too many ways for the can to get damaged while carrying it on your belt in any other situation than at the shooting range, so I wouldn't do it.

This is more about having the gun setup as is, and in a holster while doing my thing. The suppressor may or may not go with me in the field.

I don't plan on having the suppressor attached all the time.
I don't plan on having the suppressor attached while the gun is holstered.
If the suppressor is attached, it is in my hands.

I am not worried about taking my suppressor afield.
If it gets damaged, it gets damaged.
It is not the most expensive item I have taken afield.
It is not the most fragile item I have taken afield.

  9. I use the Galco Yaqui slide type of holster but it does not cover much of the gun, so I doubt it would take much rock climbing, The bottom is open the barrel and or silencer slips right through if I need covert I just drop my silencer into my right front pocket. Again, not much for rough and tumble. The Fobus/Serpa type holsters are open and will handle the barrel.

Try to get in touch with "tonerguy" here on GT. (Tucker Gun Leather)
Maybe he/they can set you up with something custom. Worth a shot. :dunno:
I love my Answer holster and it alows the end of the firearm to be exposed from the end of the holster, however it is IWB. Maybe they can make you a OWB holster similar to it.

Here is a pic of my Answer holster for my G36, but with my G34 with a threaded barrel.

I really hate the front sight hanging out.
It looks much better with a G26.

Well all my holsters are open at the end so sounds like you need to change brands.

Well, the holster is made for a G36. I was just showing how the holster was open on the bottom.

    Good luck.

What you want is a Raven Concealment as they have an option for a threaded bbl Glock on their website. The only downside is the wait is 2+ months right now.
