After all the hubbub about Milt Sparks leather, I decided to try and find some for myself.
The VM2 has long been praised as the best IWB out there, and as it turns out I am in immediate need of an IWB holster for a 3" 1911 (more details and pics/review on this new pistol addition will be soon forthcoming). I was lucky enough to find a black cowhide VM2 LEFT HANDED for a 3" 1911 pistol and 1.5" belt in stock at Lightning Arms. Ordered it today, should have it on Friday.
I also was lucky enough to get Dave at MS on the phone thks morning, and got on the February order list. I got a LH Axiom OWB holster in black with elephant trim for a 5" 1911. Should see this one in 6-7 months. I may pick up an exact same one for my 3" as well, but want to see how the VM2 works out first.

You guys and all your praise and recommendations for fine pistols and leather and such.... you're all just trouble! :)

I too was lucky to find LA and they had a VM2 for my UC. I'm also a LH shooter, so it's hard to find someone that will stock a LH holster from Milt Sparks.

Have another VM2 on order from MS, but I won't see it until May/June. :faint:

Got rid of my VMII and 55BN as I've found the summer special II to be the most comfortable of all the IWB's I've owned.

congrats on your find as us LH shooters are a little rare

Well... I couldn't help myself. Called back and talked to Dave and ordered another LH Axiom in black w/elephant for my 3" 1911 to go with the 5" one I ordered earlier in the day.

Now I have to shovel a clear path through the ice to my mailbox so the mailman can deliver my VM2 this week!

I cleared about 8" off the driveway yesterday and then it snowed again most of the afternoon and then ice/sleet last night. Now I've got several inches of ice over the packed powder. Good thing I don't need to leave the house.

I'm out in the boonies in between Dayton and Columbus. This weather makes me love my Tundra 4x4 even more.

Surprisingly, we didn't get hit too hard. I do the driveway with a Toro Powermax 26" snowblower though, so it's a breeze.

Man, if I would have known Snowpocalypse was upon us, I would have stayed in Virginia another week. I was wearing short sleeves last week and it's in the 50's there this week. :crying:

FYI Milt Sparks allows 30 days for additions to an existing order. After that any add is treated as a new order.

They will allow 2 changes ie. swaps for color change, different belt, etc) up to the time the order is pulled to go to production. These have to be 1 for 1 swaps, not adds. They allow 2 changes to an order. More than 2 changes each additional is 10 bucks.

I decided I wanted a second VMII and it was 35 days. Tango Sierra for me. Had to create a new order.

I'd take 14" of snow over the 3" sheet of ice I just busted up with a rubber mallet in my driveway for the past few hours.

I fell on my ass twice last night when I was snow blowing the driveway. Under the inch of powder it was solid ice, what a mess.

This is the first time we've ever gotten just snow. Usually we get the 3" of ice first. :faint:
