I hesitate to ask this because I feel like I should have figured this out for myself but I'll just suck it up and ask. Why does the Hogdon/Winchester online load data only list data for hollow points? I know it's a business thing and they're trying to push Hornady XTP but I expected some data for 180 gr .40 FMJ. I doubt anyone remembers but I posted an intro thread about a month ago. I've been reading and studying for months and my equipment should arrive by the weekend. Reading all your comments, I have been convinced that WSF is a decent powder for a new loader to use with this caliber. I have Speer #14 and Lyman 49th. Lyman only lists JHP data for 180 gr. and Speer doesn't list WSF. I know better than to try to extrapolate from JHP to load FMJ but I've hit this roadblock with .40 and it isn't a problem with 9mm. So to take my long-winded post and boil it down, I'm trying to find published load data for 180 gr .40 FMJ using WSF but striking out. Why can't I find it? Wanna kill these ads? We can help!
