I'm wanting a Glock in .45 and I've resisted long enough. I have an XD9 Service and M&P Shield 9mm and an RIA 1911 Tac 9mm. I actually always shoot my friends Glock as well as the 9's even though the grip is unnatural to my hand. I think now is the time for a .45 and Glock. Just researching here for a compact or sub compact. Great place (but a lot of fan boys!; no offense, I may become one too!).

Welcome, from Houston, Texas. Look at the Glock 30S. 10 rd mag, slim slide, lighter weight. Saw one new for $549 at a local show. Sized like a 23 or 26. Massad Ayoob really liked it. Lots of recent write ups on it.

You anywhere near Higgins Lake? Or way north?

My 30sf shoots very well. Looking forward though to trying out a 30s.

I see Petosky is way up up north. I75 farther south at Davison Road is right by my mom's former home. Michigan is a pretty state.

If You are thinking of a 26, consider a 27 in 40 cal. You can put a 9mm barrel in it and 26 mags and shoot 2 calipers. You can even shoot 357 sig with the 357 barrel and 27 magazines.
