    What's the general consenus...

Buy overpriced in fear of ban, or hold out and pay normal prices.

Case in point... PW Arms 33rd mag for $40 will the ability to buy 3.

Keep your eyes peeled for the factory 33rd mags to start coming back in stock. My magic 8-ball says within a few weeks, but they will go quick at normal prices :wavey:

Heck, I bet they'll be going quick at fifty bucks a pop for the next three of four months. Crazy these days.

I'd wait on them. Theoretically if you were defending your home with a 9mm it has a legitimately self defense use, they are reliable, but definitely not something I'd consider essential. To me, standard cap mags are of more value in case of a ban... Unless I had a RONI, then I'd want a decent stockpile of the 33 rounders.

I bought 2 33 round mags and 2 22 round .40 mags but I didn't pay goofy prices and had the opportunity to buy more recently at normal prices, but didn't think I'd need them. Keep in mind a ban isn't likely (but not impossible) and out of all the mags in existence, Glock has their stuff together and has been pumping mags out pretty quickly. If you're vigiliant you'll find 33 round mags at 40 bucks a piece or less within a few weeks.

If you've gotten by without them up to this point you can wait until the panic is over. They are mostly a novelty unless you have a carbine.

Happy sticks, fun sticks... I just never really saw the need. I do have at least 4 standard cap mags for each of my Glock pistols, at least.

The ones I found are not OEM Glock, which is a negative. I agree with the comments that one doesn't really need them per se. The FNG just wants to have a little fun. The thought of a 22rder in my 27 does sound odd.

The real issue is that I can't even find the ammo to fill up the 3 mags that came with my 19.

    :agree:

I had an OEM Glock 33rd mag and traded it to a fellow GTer for two G17 mags. It was definetly fun at the range, but I think two G17 mags are more practical.

I'm waiting on Natchez to get them in stock. I'm going to buy 2 or 3 as soon as they are available.

They are fun. But I like std and even 10 rd mags. It gives me more opportunity to repeat a mag change.

Like others have said I only buy Glock factory mags. In the past they are not that expensive.

I have 5 Glock 33rds mag and have a Kel Tec sub 2000 that uses them. 33 rd mags are to big to carry and make a handgun to big to carry. If you want to keep a few around the house or in the car that's fine. I would take 2 G17 mags over a 33 rd any day.

What Monte said, I bought three at $25 ea years ago and a cheap sherer made one. Tried it and like tapping a fat girl, or riding a moped, fun once in a while but never let your buddies see you doing it. Not very practicle.

With the cost of ammo I don't want to be digesting 33 rds at a clip, so I stay away from them, lol.

Agree. I have a bunch but they serve no real purpose. I'd wait on a good price & pick it up just because they may be banned at some point.
