  1. Hi all,

I'm a total noob to the Glock family, as I just recently bought my 1st G17. I must say, I simply LOVE this weapon, I cant wait to get out to the shooting range on weekends and pull off a few rounds, a like a kid in a candy store springs to mind :) I hoop to learn lots from the old "guns" out there!

Hello! The G17 is a great platform. Grab some 33 round glock OEM mags! Stay away from promag, and scherer. Not sure if scherer is still around though.

  11. Just curious, can you buy a FA sear and selector slide cover plate switch in South Africa ? You can't here.

  13. Hi, from South Carolina.
I never fired a Glock until I went to work (about 10 years ago) for an armed security agency. Then I had to qualify, and re-qualify quarterly, with a Glock .40 cal. We used the model 22 and model 27.
I learned, very quickly, to appreciate the Glock design, as well as its accuracy and reliability. [They will eat anything in their caliber!] My aging hands now have a keener appreciation for the 9mm round, and I think you will love your model 17. After you've fired 50 rounds or so, give us an update on your love affair!

  14. Welcome. Its awesome to see people from other countries on here that can use and enjoy guns.
