I used some Herter's 9mm today in a G17, HK USP, and Beretta 92fs...ZERO problems. Fed fine, fired fine, and hits were plenty accurate. I plan to buy a tin or two of the stuff the next time I'm out at Cabelas...and they send me a 10-20% off coupon!!! :impatient:

I figured I'd share my experience because no one is really talking about this stuff for some reason.

Feel free to ask any questions. :)

Thanks. They send me ads with Herter's in them and haven't heard of them.

Right. It's basically Cabela's version of Wold ammo. I haven't taken a magnet to the bullets but I've heard they are just copper washed steel...find it VERY hard to believe! Copper washed lead...now that looks to be about right.

Which Herters? There are two different styles.

The yellow box contains the Russian steel cased ammo made by either Tula or Ulyanovsk.
The black "Match" box contains brass cased ammo made by Prvi Partizan of Uzice, Serbia.

GEORGE LEONARD HERTER must be spinning in his grave at the very thought of it.
