I just picked up a case of 250 rounds of target loads for plinking for only $40

A buddy at work bought a Saiga 12 and found out the hard way that his Saiga wont cycle light cheap bird loads so he sold me a case. I think I might buy all 4 cases if he drops the price to $30 a case. Luckily my Mossberg 930SPX will cycle this cheap stuff easily!!!

Now keep in mind WalMart sells a case of 100 rounds of birdshot for $21 and thats not bad either considering the price of 100 rounds of 9mm and 40cal.

With all this ammo I am inspired to build me a run & gun tactical course of fire to really get my shotgun skills up to par. Everybody needs shotgun reloading practice since there are so many places to draw ammo from. side saddles, buttstocks, carriers, pouches, bandoleers, ect. ect.

I still have about 150 rounds in the ammo can too!

Great deal. Wish I had an unfortunate friend like yours. Go blow some stuff away and post it up for us to see.

Did you buddy try gas setting '2' before he decided to just chuck away all his target ammo? If it's new, he might have gotten a Vodka special that needs the gas ports opened up...

He knows about the settings, but I dont really know him more than just passing in the halls so I dont know exactly what he has tried to fix his Saiga? Truth be told I didnt care since I just wanted to take his ammo off his hands!!! lol.

I'll make a video compilation of me blasting these suckers. I'll try and throw in some steel targets, shoot on the move, shoot from cover, reloads and weapons transitions.

I like to use waterjugs. Or if I'm at the right range; TVs, Microwaves, etc

Birdshot from ~10ft do about just as much damage as Buck and Slugs :)

Yeah I just sold my Saiga 12 yesterday. :crying: It wouldn't cycle bird shot on any setting. Buck and Slugs would fire as fast as I could pull the trigger.

The Saiga is just big, heavy and bulky. Didn't use it for anything but fun at the range and only shooting buck shot is expensive fun.

I am drooling over a 930 spx now. I miss my auto shotty! :crying:
