I just picked up a g20SF. This is my first 10MM and I intend to shoot Feral Hogs with it. I would like to choose a round from DoubleTap or maybe Buffalo Bore. What does the Ten Ring recommend?

You might consider the DT 200 gr WFNGC hardcast. They also have that bullet in 230 grains, but there are some questions about whether a stock Glock barrel will properly stabilize the 230 grainer. I handload the 200 gr and it works great in my G20. Lots of penetration into about anything.

If Double Tap resumes loading the 200 gr XTP (instead of the Montana Gold) that they have been substituting, that would probably be productive as well. They call that the 200 grain "controlled expansion." Call first though to make sure that you actually get the XTP.

Both DT and BB have excellent rounds for hunting. DT has 230gr. hardcasts, and they hit really hard with extremely deep penetration. Some have had issues using this ammo out of the stock barrel, I have a KKM in my 20sf and my shots are dead on accurate with this round.

BB also has some really strong stuff...perhaps a bit stronger...or just maybe louder. As BB now uses MG bullets, they offer 220gr. hard cast, 200gr. FMJ, and 180gr. JHP. The 200gr. FMJ is a very bad azz round.

    EDIT: Tater beat me.

Thanks a bunch! I picked up some 180gr BB Montana Gold HP @ 1350FPS and will try those. I'll go ahead and get some 200gr Hardcast from DT, but I needed something asap.
