Went to look at a g21 to match my other glocks, started fondeling a sig c3 1911....wow, so this is what a 1911 is all about.
The trigger pull just crazy soft....
They wanted $860.00 for the c3 comander size....is that worth it? Are there better guns for that price range?
I liked the weight and size of that gun...are there others?
    anyone CC theirs?

Price seems to be fair. There is nothing like the feel of a good 1911. A Colt Commander or an STI Guardian would be similar in size. I have a Guardian and carry it regularly in summer.

There are better options at that price, in my opinion.

The price is more than fair and Sig Sauer is well known for producing quality handguns. I've had their P-226 for 21 years and have never had a malfunction. They just haven't been making 1911 style pistols that long. I have faith in them. They have a lifetime warranty and I just picked up a Sig 1911 Ultra 2 tone That is smaller than what you're considering this last week with a test date of April 26th. It runs like a dream. Unless you can get what you want in a Kimber for the price, I'd say the Sig Sauer is a good value at that price! You're basically getting a custom shop pistol for a mass produced price.

  5. I'd listen to Brian (aka Bac1023) he knows his 1911's. Check out his buyer's guide, lists some nice pro's con's of some of the most popular models out there.

Sig makes a decent 1911, and that price is fair. There are others that I would pick before that one, but it's not a bad choice. I will warn you that the Sig 1911's are not compatable with most fitted 1911 holsters. That alone is enough to keep me away from them.
