These liberals are on a major roll with these anti-gun laws. Obama is consolidating more and more power. The feds are getting more powerful by the minute and placing more and more debt on future generations. The Constitution is being shredded.

Will these things be enough to get those 8 million or so republicans who sat on their fat asses on election day to the polls in these next two elections? Is the pain unbearable yet? :steamed:

    Discuss.

It's been happening for awhile, I've had enough since I became politically aware and active. The Bill of Rights were being eroded long before Chairman Obama took office. And unless enough people wake up, it will continue to happen after he leaves office. Government reflects the people. I say you look to change people's ideologies, until you do that, the scheme will continue.

What does that have to do with Obama, the feds getting more powerful by the minute, and 8 million Republicans who sat on their asses on election day?

To answer the questions of the constitution's continuing shredding, and the fed increasing in size, the RNC needs to address how their agenda would stop doing both. They need to lay out how your rights will not be continually infringed and how the size of the federal govt will not continually grow. If the republicans were in control we may not have as much of a concern with losing 2nd amendment rights, but how many other rights would the RNC agenda allow to be lost while protecting the 2nd? The RNC put up a candidate that was, lackluster at best. They didn't push for a candidate that could annihilate the competition. They pushed for the one that could win by 2 or 3 states. If those 8 million voted, would their votes have been enough for the 3 or 4 states to sway in favor of Romney? Personally, I don't think it would. The question the RNC should be asking themselves is how do we get an overwhelming majority of the votes, if not all of the votes? Not, how do we reach out to the 8 million that didn't vote.

There are no new gun laws that effect me.

I highly suspect the reason for that, is there isn't enough yea votes in the Senate to pass the gun control being proposed.

It isn't over. The same thing happened with Obamacare and the AWB #1. It dragged on for a long time, until suddenly one day, there was a vote, and they both passed.

There is no doubt that back-room deals are being made as I type this.......in an attempt to convert no votes to yes votes. There are undoubtedly a few votes that can be bought.......the question is, how many?

You just cannot understand how angry it makes many of our citizens to know that our constitution.......the one that was promised by oath to defend.......is being offered for sale by and to corrupt politicians.

It was asked if we've had enough yet? I can't answer that question with any certainty, but I would not be surprised if there are those who take up arms against our government, if the politics involve restricting our freedoms in ways our founders specifically intended for our government to not do.

What and where that "line in the sand" is at.......is anyone's guess.....but, you can be most assured that Americans take their freedoms very seriously, and gun control is one thing that is, and has a historical track record of being a precursor to the elimination of freedoms on a mass scale.

You've got to be kidding, slug.......

The reason we have Obama, is because the "Republican establishment, in conjunction with the MSM, gave us who they wanted as GOP presidential candidate. One by one, all of those who had any promising, or enthusiastic support, had their character destroyed......and, Romney was the golden boy, until he had the nomination.......then, just like magic, it all changed, and he was demonized, as well! :steamed: :steamed:

It had nothing to do with Republican voters staying home. Most of those who didn't vote, didn't vote because they had nobody that represented their own beliefs and values.

I voted.......against Obama. That's the way they saw it, too.......and, they didn't have enough motivation to vote at all.......:steamed:

One thing is for certain: The instant those children's bodies hit the ground in Newton, the ensuing New York gun laws were a lock. That would be the case no matter if Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, or Ted freakin' Nugent won the presidency in November.

So what exacty is the point of the OP? We don't have any new federal gun control laws, and we can't unless Republicans pass them. How are Republicans who refused to vote for Romney in any way responsible for new gun laws, when in fact it would take Republicans to pass them at the federal level, and at the state level it makes no difference who the president is.

Amazing! I honestly didn't think you were capable of making any sense, gundude.........you did with this!

There might be hope for you yet......

One thing you seem to be omitting, is our political system is corrupted. If it's corrupted beyond repair, that remains to be seen........but, just like in Obamacare, some votes are for sale. :steamed:

Ray Charles can see which way things are headed. The problem is (as evidenced by many of our centrist posters) is that there are probably more than half of the people in our country who want it to go this way, more or less.

The demographics of this county have changed. It is not the same culture that formed this country and the current culture is making it into the country they would have formed if they had been in charge in 1776-1790.

That may be the way the takers want to go ...

... but the makers need to shut down and quit paying for it.

The 8 million Republicans who sat on their asses on election day assured Obama the win by denying the republicans a much needed vote.

They're responsible for the mess we're in right now.

There's no way we can know how things would be if Romney had been elected president, but it's no surprise to anyone that Obama has turned out to be anti-gun.

It makes a big difference who the president is.

People need to quit making excuses for those so called "principled" libertarians who refused to vote and handed Obama his second term on a silver platter.

Their refusal to vote has made things worse in this country.

Well Pelosi wants to confiscate them. I am guessing you are alluding to O not being responsible for state gun laws. What about the news conference so soon after Newtown, what about him and Biden running their mouths about new laws needed? Is he to blame for that? Yeah we don't know what Mitt would do but I am pretty sure it wouldn't be what Dem leaders are doing now.

The main reason America is in the shape it is in is because the voters voted for the people in power. We have a Black Liberation Communist in the White House because he was elected. The Constitution is over. Our Communist in Chief will put at least one more left wing radical Justice on the Supreme Court , maybe two. One of the 5 conservatives has already said they will probably go this year. The average voter could not pass an 8th grade civics test if they had to save their soul from the fires of hell. When they vote they do not think of the outcome because they do not know the outcome and they can not think passed what they have seen on MSNBC that day. This is a result to 40 years of Bill Ayres types controlling our public school systems in this country. We had a storm days before the 2012 election, Obama shows up for a photo op and he's points ahead in the election. Go figure.

The best people can do now is try to get ready for some real bad times and take care of your own. Good luck.
