Seems to me this is not a good idea for a subject on a gun site in plain view of the world.

So far, I've pulled mine once every day....to lock it up. Thankfully.

Hey, i was going to say that. I pull mine every day, from the holster too.

On a serious note, I have pulled mine and used it on several occasion and it was fun too. Basically about 90% of what u learn will be blanked out and you will just revert to plain naturally what u do. You are generally not even conscious how many shots u fire and if you change your mags.

I've never even felt the need to reach for it - thankfully. I've pulled my knife quite a few times, though. Stubborn blister packs.

I've pulled mine a few thousand times at least (each); those targets don't stand a chance...bullet versus paper: bullet wins!

If the count is zero for my entire life, I'll be just fine with that.

Let's hope it stays at zero.

In self defense, yes, see I work out in the open country in the PNW, there are Bears, Mountain Lions, Moose, Elk, and plenty of Wolves, out in them thar hills, so ya, I've pulled it out here and there.

As for in self defense from a human, like I said I live out in the country up in the PNW with all the decent folk, so worries like that are few and far apart, but I am ever vigilant... ;-)

You're right. I don't think anyone would want to be advertising; at least not in these days of crooked DA's and crooked politicians.

Unless you are on a hiring board, I doubt you will obtain an answer from an LE on this subject. I haven't lasted 17 year in LE by not knowing when not to say anything...:)

After it is all said and done...it is out there for all to see. TXPO

No - but I pushed it once.

As the other folks have stated, discussing this stuff in a public forum is dumb as a three dollar bill. If a prosecutor has an interest in you, he can easily obtain all and any postings and e-mails you have ever created.

My motto is keep your ego in your pocket and your pecker in your pants. Keeps you out of a lot of trouble.

Yes actually, we used to live in a "colorful" area, lot's of trash. We keep strange hours and we were out at about 0130 taking our dog out for his last walk before bed, this drunk POS staggers up and attempts to engage me in conversation about my dog. He's 1/2 Am bulldog, 1/2 lab and he's not fond of this type of person shall we say. He reaches over and tries to pet my growling dog, I tell him to back off if he values the use of his hand. He takes a couple of moments to process hat I said, meanwhile i hand the dog off to my girl who I usher by said dumbarse and get her upstairs. Einstein then starts pursuing running his mouth about how it's a racial issue, shocking I know. He reaches the middle landing of the steps and states loud and proud that he has a gun and shoves his hand under his shirt, I produce my Sp-101 and show it to him muzzle first, he has a look of surprise and says "damn you really have one", ummm yep and you're about 1 sec from seeing it in action. Finally a glimmer of brain power as he says plainly, I've done this to alot of people and no one has ever pulled a gun on me. I went inside a called 911, and after about 20 min they finally show and then do nothing to this putz as he's a well known AIDS carrier and he likes to try and spread it, one of the officers told me afterwards, that it was a shame that I didn't shoot him as he had been arrested in the past for the same thing. Gotta love the system.

I was in the right and this was years ago, so no fear of anything happening to me. I learned many lessons from this event and I'm not afraid to share it.
