Got an email from Chris at Metaloy today, that my babies were ready for Daddy to come get them. On the RRA, I had him install new tritium front sight, recess/flush cut the slide stop, flush crown the barrel and hardchrome. The Legacy had the ambi removed and a Wilson BP single side safety installed, Wilson Speed Chute magwell, Wilson fiber optic front sight, recessed/flush cut slide stop, flush crowned barrel and hardchromed. Here's a few pics he had taken.

    Awesome Joe

Are you going to put the stock grips back on the Legacy?

Yeah, for now. He said he would find some screws that fit it and put them on for some pics. I had him install thin grip bushings in both of them while they were there.

Excuse me...I'll be in my bunk.

I know I NEED to get an STI before they are priced COMPLETELY out of my reach.

    Another pic

And Legacy with factory grips back on with original black grip screws. These will be replaced with a set of thin grips (don't know what yet, but some snazzy wood sounds apporpriate :) ) and some hardchromed grip screws.

    That Legacy is awesome, Joe.

Considering the rarity of the model, its probably the only hard chromed example in existence.

Thanks Brian. I had second thoughts on doing it, but what the hell? I didn't like the finish it had on it and I wanted the changes I was making to it, and knew it wasn't ever going to be sold, so I pulled the trigger. I'm definately gonna be alot happier with it like this than the way it was. It's definately unique now.

Those are Damn Sexy. They have more of a titanium finish in the pics. I think I might have to send a Baer out to get finished. Your turnaround on those were rather quick too. It was only a few weeks ago wasn't it.

Thanks. It's hard to capture hardchrome on film. They are both a matte satin finish. That's the standard finish, but you can get a polished/shiny finish if you so desire. Chris turns them around pretty quick. Just depends on his schedule and workload.
