I just realized that today is 1/9/11. Cool.
Thanks for that tidbit.
Wish I had one.
I never would have made that connection.
Thanks for the heads-up. I did not even think about that.
I wanted to do some shooting today but it was just a little too cold.
Tell me about it.
Its freezing in SE PA.
In Richmond for a few days staying with my mom. My dad and I ran to a show this afternoon. Had about a bajillion Glocks, Sigs, and Taurus pistols. Quite a few HKs abd FNs. Bunch of low end 1911s (RIAs, ATX), a few Kimbers, one table with DWs (VBOB $1,500, DC VBOB $1,900, Valor $1,500, Guardian $1,450, CCO $1,400). Another guy had a few Colts (mostly XSEs) and one TRS ($1,900). 3 EMPs at various tables (2 .40s and a 9 which was $50 cheaper - all under $1,100). Bunch of ROs ($700-750) and a bunch of R1s ($560-599). There was one stainless TRP for $1,400 and a TRP Operator for $1,500. Didn't try to haggle as I wasnt buying but it was fun to walk around with my pop for 2 hours fondling BOOMsticks.
That TRS is a hell of a nice gun. I was all over it....even with FCS.
You should of picked it up. Didn't anyone tell you those are collectors items now.
Happy 1/9/11 to you, too! That hadn't even occured to me. I'm fond of all my pistols, but my 5" 1911 is probably my favorite.
Yay! It never crossed my mind. Come the end of March the 1911 will be in use 100 years.
huh didn't even think of it, maybe because I do not eat breathe and sh%^ 1911's jk. Still pretty cool, just wish I new (or realized it) earlier today.
LOL not for $1,900. The RO was reallllly nice. Felt great.
Hold in there bac, I'm sure you'll have one someday too.
I love my 01092011's...
I mean my 1911's.
Yeah, but did you think about this at 7:11 pm? Which in military time would be 1911 hours!!!
Hmmmm, I wonder who helped you come to that realization??

I didn't see any footnotes in your post...
But who posted it first on GT?
