Wow, I'm glad the officer is safe. If she'd been able to reach him, who knows the damage she might have inflicted on him.

Oh wait. She was running away? I guess the cop was really scared of something, but it wasn't her.

Sorry, but I saw the video....it was an unfortunate accident, but I don't see it being the cop's fault.

She was cuffed and trying to run away. If he tackled her and hurt her, it would have been bad either way and he made a quick decision and went with it.

If she wasn't a criminal and put herself in that situation that she caused....she'd be normal. No sympathy for criminals here. She needs to be held accountable for her actions.

I'm sorry but that's what she gets for running. There has to be respect for police. You run, you have to pay the consequences.

Nothing good comes from running from the cops.

Honestly, that's the way it should be. Good taze bro.

Totality of circumstances....justified. The oucome was unfortunate but she made her own fate.

  10. The escaping female weighted 120 lbs (?) while the chasing cop weighted 260 lbs (?). So if he had tackled her instead, how many posters would be accusing him of using unnecessary physical force?

All in all, it's unfortunate how she hit her head by her own (running away) forward momentum. Sad.

The cop did good. The people posting comments are idiots.

Cop was too fat to catch her. Probably would have had a coronary event if he tried.

She was handcuffed and ran. If you watch the video, he couldve easily grabbed her from behind without tackling or tazing her. He was right on top of her when he tasered her.

Poor judgement to taze someone running on concrete.

    That said...her fault for running.

Unfortunate, however the situation was created by her attempting to escape from custody. That meant some type of force was going to have to be used stop her. This same type of injury can occur from the running person falling on their own, a tackle, or in this case a fall after the Taser was used. This is a perfect example that nothing is 100% safe, it is a rare occasion when less lethal force was used that resulted in serious injury.

I happen to know that building and she was slowed by the locked door there. She was deep inside and slipped her cuffs again and ran through the corridors with him in pursuit. The door held her up for a second while she slapped the bar to open it and then she took off. The Trooper could have jumped on her and broke her neck or back or could have let her run into traffic and become road kill or could have shot her with his 45. As it was he tased her and she banged her head. It was her choice and her choice alone that that happened
She was high on drugs and had just committed multiple felonies when he arrested her.
She made a very bad life style decision that day and now we are all paying for it.
The press only shows what they want to show you and thats a fraction of the real story there and of course all the bleeding hearts believe the press.

I'm thinking if she sat and behaved herself soon enough she would have been out of those cuffs and this would have been moot.

I have no personal opinions towards the actions of this

officer, but the comment section linked to this article

IMO is against this forums TOS. I believe that this thread

will be closed in short order.

The reason these stories make the news? Two fools doing their thing.
With out the tazer he would have pulled his gun and killed several along with her.

You are going to make you stand on that statement? That is the wisdom you are going to give the world for you to be known and judged by?
