Haley Strategic

Discussion in 'Tactics and Training' started by mrstrau, Nov 10, 2012.

  1. Graduating from college this semester....looking forward to having a year to work and train.

Haley Strategic is going to be in the New England area a few times next year. I was thinking about taking a disruptive environments handgun class with them. As it will easily cost over a grand to take the class with tuition costs, ammo costs and lodging, not to mention food and etc, I want to make sure it's worth it.

Anyone have any experience with these guys? Should I go for one of their classes? I would still consider myself a new shooter, so I would probably benefit from a class of some kind

I haven't taken one but would like to. I have talked to guys that have and follow HS. It should be worth every dime.

Where and when? I do not see it reflected in their posted schedule.
  4. I sent an email to them and they responded with a 2013 schedule. I'm not sure if it is posted online yet. I don't have it in front of me, so I'm not sure of the exact dates, but I believe they will be in Thurmont, Maryland in March (the 16th or 17th), for an disruptive handgun class. They will also be in Rodchester, NY for a carbine class. Although the Rodchester class is only 45 minutes from where I live, I think I'd rather take the Handgun class.

OK. More East Coast than New England.

  6. Yeah..still better than where they usually hang out...Midwest and West coast.

From what I've been reading on them, and videos I've watched online, it may well be worth the 4 hour drive to Maryland. Gotta figure out how to get a permit for a pistol in that state, however...

Don't hold your breath. The state of Maryland is on par with New York City in regards to carry permits.
  8. Damn. Going to still look into the laws..I may not be able to carry but there may be some possibility of just possessing a handgun..I know some states allow you to transport/possess a handgun you just aren't allowed to conceal them.

I doubt it may make any difference, but perhaps I can get away without having a CCW to take a class.

I've been waiting 10 months for my CCW here in NY, so I suppose it can't hurt.
