Last night was our monthly LUG meeting. The topic this month was hacking a wrt54g router. First is was explained how it came about that this particular router came to have linux on it without the knowledge of Linksys. We then looked at what you could do with this router and how you could hack it. The site was the base for the demostration and provided a good start with some good ideas. Once you have it hacked with different code on it, the possibilities for it are endless.

A cheap linux gateway with configurable iptables, VPN's etc... all for only $70. BTW, the WRT54G has 8 Megs of ram and the WRT54GS has 16 but are otherwise identical. The GS model is about $20 more.
