This just showed up unexpectedly at my door yesterday evening. I knew it was being built, I knew it was close to being done, but I did not know Alex was going to send it to me yesterday. The owner of this fine pistol insisted I take it out for some pictures on the wood pile and for a short shakedown.....I ran a couple mags through it, and all I can say is WOW!! I am in love with this pistol. It has a ramped barrel, flush cut slide stop, flush cut and crowned barrel, one piece magwell and the GI Straight 8 style sights. Alex and Company really nailed it with this one!! To the best of my knowledge, this is the first small bore 1911 out the door of GI. More to come.......:)

You always no how to take pics of a pistol to make it drool worthy. That is definitely a nice piece. I cant wait to get my hands on it.

    Great looking gun.
  15. Beautiful 1911. I would like to know the long term reliability of this pistol, since 9mm 1911's are not known to be as reliable as the 45's.
  16. maybe true on the 9mm 1911, but this one is from Guncrafter Industries.

Guess you know little about Guncrafter Industries? :dunno:
A GI is not you standard run of the mill 1911. Do some research.
  18. Speak on it!!! I don't think Alex would have let this 9mm leave his shop if it had problems. For smaller shops, they can't afford to have pistols coming back to get fixed. From what I know about Alex, he will not release a pistol until he knows it is reliable. Thats why I am anxiously waiting for him to announce some new models. BTW, I will let you know if I have any problems with this one.
  19. Great looking pistol!
