    Hey all,

I'm a student at NC State Univ., and am having a problem. I own a G23, have my CWL from Florida, but have NO WHERE to keep my gun. Moving off campus really isn't an option b/c of my tuition break from my on campus job, which requires me to live there. I have contacted campus police, raleigh PD, WCSO, all local ranges (Davi's, PDHSC), storage facilities, and I have come up with nothing. I do not have anyone off campus that I can trust enough to hold my gun for me, and I am running out of options. It is a pain leaving it back home b/c I live in MD and go home maybe every 2 months, for a weekend, and that is my only time to shoot. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'll try calling again, but as of 6 months ago they said they couldn't store it for me. Maybe they'll make a special exception....

Im starting to think I might take the slide off, leave the frame with a friend my in-car safe who lives off campus. That way, if somehow someone broke into her room or got ahold of the safe and were able to get it open, it still wouldnt be a functioning firearm...but that is a last resort for now.

    Scott,

Have you asked the faculty advisor for the Wolfpack Rifle and Pistol Club if he has any suggestions? Drop him an email and see if he has any ideas.
