Hello there my fellow Airmen and glockers:

I have a G19, and a K3b carbine A2 Ar-15. I'm also finishing college this December. My BMT is scheduled for february, the questions is: What can I do with my guns? Can I shoot at the range while in tech school? Please tell me all the details.

    Thank you!!!

My advice would be to leave them with your family till you get to where ever you're going. I never did it but I think there's some form you have to fill out and it gets stored at the security forces armory. There is someone on here goes by Mr Murphy I think he's security forces and he could probably better answer your question.

As a recently retired Security Force member my recomendation is to leave them with a trusted family member/friend. As a tech school student you will not have the same "privlages" as a permanent party person. Or the time for liesure activities. The AF does stuff in what they call Phase 1,2 and 3. unless you are prior service you will still be highly supervised while in phase 1 and 2 which is what you are considered in tech school. As such you will not have the ability to store said firearms in Security Forces armory and draw out to use on the range etc. Good luck in your career!
