    What's the best brand to use in cleaning and/or lubricating handguns?

    the oil you presently have.

    personally i currently use fp10 and militec. and militec grease.

    i usually dunk my pistols in kerosene and lubricate it with motor oil kung ma ubusan ako ng Hoppes no9 and singer oil.:)

    -kerosene + AB80 or wd40 combo overnight ..
    -AB80 pure then left to dry or use dye patch (chamois will also do
    the trick).
    -Oil : hoppes 9 + a little bit of white grease and Syli glide.

    Some of BOG's use Motor oil ( economical and effective)~2

    Kerosene and motor oil? you can buy these from gasoline stations. WD 40 & singer machine oil can be bought in department stores. Hoppes no 9 can only be found in gunstores. Nitro Solvent and Hoppes proucts are good enough for me.

    Kerosene maabsorb sa skin at known carcinogenic bec of benzene . Wear surgical gloves as a safety barrier.

    I use Militec on the outside of the barrel. Hoppes #9 on the bore followed by Break Free CLP. Break Free CLP on other moving parts. I use Sentry Tuff-Cloth on the springs and slide, after assembly.

    Too much? Use Break Free CLP.

    motor oil works good in the L part but is not very good in C and P :)

    i use fp-10 or breakfree clp which ever one is available. hoppes #9 for cleaning the bbl and tw-25b for lubing the trigger mech.
