I thought I saw somewhere that you can use a file attached to a post, and the IMG tag to "host" the pic. IE, I attach a jpg, and post the reply (or new thread). Then I copy the address from the attachments properties, edit my post and add an IMG tag with the attachments address in it, and it will show in the post.

I know this was capible on other boards, and thought ive seen people doing it here on GT, but my tests have failed. When I post the IMG tag, it shows the address to the attachment as a link, not as a hosted image. An example is below.

    Anyone know a solution?

    Thanks,
    Russ

The image should appear here, but I only see a link to the image:

(I did use the IMG tag, not he URL tag)

From the image's original location, save a copy of it to your HDD and then upload it to imageshack.com.

Then put the 'Direct Link' URL into the {IMG} tags here and post it.

Simple, once you get the hang of it!

you can't do it. it's a feature desinged to keep ppl from wasting bandwidth.

you have to upload it to a server which allows image sharing.
